National Wealthness Month
August Is About Abundance With Amida Wealth
August with Amida is about connection, health, abundance, and wealth! That being said, we have come up with August as National Wealthness Month. What does that mean? Wealthness is about building financial knowledge, and then understanding how to bring that financial knowledge into living a wealthy life. This month, we enter in with the energy of intention and abundance. We see the beginning and the end, perhaps like a new chapter. As we transition out of summer vacation mode into, we also begin to shift our energy towards a new season with financial intention the Amida way.
August Is About Abundance
In many cultures and regions, August represents abundance primarily due to its association with the harvest season. The reasons behind this representation can be traced back to historical agricultural practices and natural cycles in the Northern Hemisphere.
- Harvest Season: In temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, August falls during the late summer months. It is a time when many crops reach maturity and are ready for harvesting. This includes various fruits, vegetables, grains, and other agricultural products. The successful harvest of these crops signifies an abundance of food and resources, leading to the perception of August as a month of abundance.
- Fruits and Vegetables: August is a month when numerous fruits and vegetables are in season, and markets are filled with a diverse range of fresh produce. This availability of fresh and locally grown food contributes to a sense of abundance.
- Natural Growth: During the preceding months of spring and early summer, the natural world experiences a burst of growth and vitality. Trees are in full foliage, flowers bloom, and wildlife thrives. By August, this growth has reached its peak, showcasing the abundance of nature’s resources.
- Traditional Celebrations: In some cultures, there are festivals and celebrations in August that revolve around harvest and abundance. These festivities often involve feasts, rituals, and expressions of gratitude for the bountiful harvest.
- Cultural Significance: Over time, August has become ingrained in cultural beliefs and representations as a time of plenty. Stories, myths, and folklore may have contributed to this perception, reinforcing the idea of abundance during this month.
August & Your Wealthness
Similar to the harvest season, our finances are always shifting and changing. Modern day harvesting includes fine-tuning our finances (wealthness season). In other words, every day we create more of a life for ourselves that serves our greater good. We nourish our wealth! Here are 5 ways to harvest your finances this August.
- Review Your Budget (allocation): Take a close look at your spending and income patterns for the past few months. At Amida, we like to call it Allocation. Assess where you stand with your budget and identify any areas where we choose to spend our money, and allocate our funds, in alignment with our goals.
- Set Financial Goals: Define clear financial goals for the remainder of the summer and beyond. Whether it’s saving a specific amount, paying off debts, or investing, having clear objectives will help you stay focused. Additionally, the feeling that we are after – financial security and how it makes us feel. Are we true to ourselves and who we are, short & long-term goals.
- Adjust Your Investment Strategy: Review your investment portfolio and make any necessary adjustments based on your risk tolerance and financial goals. Consult with a financial advisor if needed.
- Assess Financial Progress: Take time to assess your overall financial progress and make any necessary adjustments to your long-term financial plan. In other words, intentional financial management involves financial check-ins to ensure we are establishing financial freedom and the life that we want to create for ourselves.
Remember, financial well-being requires consistent effort and planning. Oftentimes, an advisor, will allow us to step away from our biases and encourage growth and new perspective. An advisor is not just someone that tells you how to invest your money, but also someone who understands you. They help you work towards your goals.
